You can now travel to the universe in Street View of "Google Maps"
A few days ago Google added over 500,000 images to Google Maps. Many of the images were taken by Saturn probe Cassini, which was launched into space more than 20 years ago.
Together with all the photos, we reconstructed many planets and moons and made them searchable on Google Maps. Like the street view on the planet, you can explore each place and enlarge such that the area of particular interest, such as Enceladus ice field, can be seen better.
Google added a total of twelve "new worlds" including Pluto, Mars, Mercury to Google Maps.
To enjoy the space travel, you have to go to Street View on Google Maps and then zoom out. Or you can go straight to the universe from here (you can access Google Maps Space).
I think that it is not necessary for actually going (for now), but it is fun to just explore.
