Samuel Frederick Smith (born May 19, 1992) is an English singer-songwriter. He appeared in Disclosure 's revolutionary single "Latch" which recorded 11th place in British singles chart in October 2012 and gained fame.


 In May 2013, he was nominated for the 2014 Blitz critic's choice award and the 2014 BBC sound award. He won. He released the debut studio album "In the Lonely Hour" in Capitol Records UK in May 2014.


The lead single of "Lay Me Down" was released before "La La La". The second single "Money on My Mind" became the second single in the UK. The third single "Stay with Me" of this album is No. 2 in the UK and Billboard Hot 100 in the USA, the second single "I 'm Not Only One" is the two countries. The fifth single "Like I Can" reached ninth place in the UK. He debuted in the US in the second half with Jimmy Fallon and performed at Saturday Night Live in March 2014.
